For the admission in the current year to bachelor university studies, the University of Bucharest opens for its candidates a total number of 9.383 places, out of which 4.250 are budget places and 5.133 tax places. The number of budget places distributed on faculties, for bachelor university studies, may be checked here.

For university master studies, the University of Bucharest opens this year a total number of 7.853 places at all its 19 faculties, out of which 2.865 are budget places and 4.988 tax places. Here you can check the number of budget places distributed for the university master studies.

Regarding the admission modality, we mention that each faculty has decided on their own type of entrance exam.  Thus, 4 types of admission can be distinguished, differing from a faculty to another: admission based on entrance exam, admission based on A-level average grade and motivational essay, admission based on a mixed formula and admission based of the A-level average grade. Further on, you can find information regarding the admission modality, as settled by the councils of the faculties of the University of Bucharest:

For the candidates to this year admission, the University of Bucharest offers a range of facilities, such as online payment of registration tax, free hosting in own hostels, but also free access to the space of the Botanical Garden „Dimitrie Brândză”.

Highschool graduates may make the online payment of the registration tax, by filling in the form available on: www.po.unibuc.ro. The facility of online tax payment completes the traditional payment modalities: cash, to the pay office of the faculties of the University of Bucharest or through order of payment. Those who opt for the online payment of the registration tax will include into the registration folder, besides all the other necessary papers, the proof of payment confirmation, received through e-mail.

Also, the UB offers its candidates 3 night free boarding during the admission, in the hostel „Leu C”, restricted to available places. The boarding will be possible based on showing to the hostel administration, the exam permit and the identity card. Moreover, the highschool graduates, candidates to the 2018 admission at the University of Bucharest, also benefits of free access into the space of „Dimitrie Brândză” Bothanical Garden. They will enjoy this facility together with other three people. The Botanical Garden of the University of Bucharest can be visited free of cost from the 6th to 26th July 2018, every day, during the working hour 08:00 – 20:00.  Access will be based on the permit of participant to the admission exam at the University of Bucharest.

Admission registration shall be done at the quarters of the faculties of the University of Bucharest (more information referring to the contact dates of the faculties can be checked here). Also, the UB offers its candidates the possibility for online registration:

The necessary documents for completing the registration file for bachelor university studies are the following: registration template file; A-level diploma or an equivalent diploma, original or certified copy according to original or receipt (in case of highschools where diplomas were not yet issued for the 2018 series of graduates) issued by the education institution, in which the general average grade is specified, grades to the subjects of A-level exam, validity and the fact the diploma was not yet issued (exceptionally, for candidates who graduated A-level exams in exam sessions corresponding to school year 2017-2018, on grounds of their written agreement, the University of Bucharest may interconnect with the Integrated Informatic System for Education in Romania (SIIIR) regarding the processing of personal data and results obtained to A-level exam of these candidates, case in which the receipt issued by the education institution is not necessary; for interconnection with SIIIR a protocol shall be concluded with the Ministry of Education); the birth certificate, in certified copy according the original; diploma of olympics, in copy, only for the candidates who register as olympics; typical medical receipt of which results that they are fit for the faculty for which they apply; three ¾ cm photos; ID or passport copy; receipt of payment of the registration tax for the admission exam according the taxes approved by the Senate of the University of Bucharest; the document of acknowledgement of the studies completed outside Romania, according to the legal provisions into force at the date of registration;

Only for the people who require the tax exemption at admission contest, one of the following documents will be shown: legalized copy of the death certificates of parents (in case of those orphans of both parents); receipt from the children ‘s home (in the case of those being in this situation); receipt from which results the quality of didactic personnel or auxiliary didactic, active or retired, of the legal holders; receipt from which results the quality of personnel of the University of Bucharest for the legal supporters of the candidate.

Regarding the master university studies, the candidates will include into the folder the following documents: registration template file; bachelor diploma in original or certified copy according the original or bachelor receipt for the 2018 series of graduates; A-level diploma or an equivalent diploma, in original or certified copy according the original; the birth certificate, in certified copy according the original; diploma of olympic, in copy, only for the candidates who register as olympics; typical medical receipt of which results that they are fit for the faculty for which they apply; 3 ¾ cm photos; ID or passport copy; receipt of payment of the registration tax to the admission contest according the tax approved by the Senate of the University of Bucharest; the document acknowledges the studies completed outside Romania, according the legal provisions into force at the date of registration. The deadline for the registration to the faculties of the University of Bucharest is 26th of July 2018, and the last results of the admission exam will be displayed on 29th of July 2018.
