Professor Magdalena Iordache Platis
Vice-rector of the University of Bucharest beginning with 2011 and dean of the Faculty of Business and Administration between 2005 and 2011, Professor Magdalena Iordache Platis, Ph.D. is specialised in economy, business administration and marketing, as she is an active professor with over 25 years of experience in higher education teaching.
Starting with 2009, she is a professor in the staff of the international students’ competition in the field of Markstrat marketing simulations, promoted and organised by the Dukenet consortium. She has been a short- or long-term expert in various national and international projects such as PNII, POSDRU, Life Long Learning or FP7.
Professor Magdalena Iordache Platis obtained her PhD in economy in 1993. Her main fields of interest in research concern: academic leadership, quality management in higher education, business strategies, university-industry cooperation, entrepreneurship and the transfer of competence to students.
She took specialisation courses in Poland and in the Czech Republic, held by the Jagiellonian University in partnership with the United States Consortium, as well as in Romania, concerning interactive teaching methods, quality management and career counselling.
Starting 2007, she has been holding the position of titular member of the Romanian Scientific Management Society; in 2010 she joins the scientific committee of the Journal of Knowledge Management, Economics an Information Technology, edited by the Scientific Papers (Great Britain); in 2015 she becomes a member of the Society on Business Excellence in Romania.
In 2017, she was co-opted in the Empowering students for their future professional life and civic engagement thematic group within EUA Learning & Teaching Initiative organized by European University Association, and she partook as co-facilitator in the Embedding generic skills in the curriculum at the 1st European Learning & Teaching Forum session.
