The foreign languages taught at the Ariel Centre are English (both general as well as judicial and business English, and preparatory classes for the Cambridge and TOEFL tests), French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Swedish, Dutch, Russian, Serbian, Croatian, Czech, Bulgarian, Chinese, Japanese, Turkish, Arabic, Neo-Greek, Romanian for foreigners, and Biblical as well as modern Hebrew.

The professors teaching at the Ariel Centre are trained within the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures. They are part of the staff of professors and Ph.D. student. They use a teaching experience gained both in the country and abroad, with efficient and stimulating methods; moreover, by being permanently busy with improving their knowledge and with using the most recent and performant means of teaching, they vouch for a successful educational system.

The duration of a whole course (from beginner level to advanced) is of approximately two years. Modern resources are used for teaching, coming from the most prestigious foreign publishing houses (Macmillan Heinemann, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Hueber, Hachette, Alma, SGEL, Intertaal etc.), including multimedia materials.

The structure of all foreign language courses comprises a variable number of modules, which last between 32 and 50 hours and which take place in two sessions of two hours each per week.

One session lasts 120 minutes with a 5-10 minutes break at half-time.

At the end of a module, the students receive a participation diploma which mentions the type and the duration of the course, as well as the final grade the student received after the evaluation of the teacher.

The diplomas are acknowledged by the University of Bucharest.

You can find more information regarding the structure and the costs of the courses here.

The Ariel Centre only holds two signing up sessions per year: one in September and one in January-February. Based on the number of requests, new groups may be formed during the rest of the academic year.

For signing up, you have to fill in a sign-up form and to pay the tax for the course you wish to take (either the whole tax or the first instalment).

Alongside the sign-up form, all requests to join medium and advanced level modules have to be followed by a placement test corresponding to your level. The placement test can be downloaded from the website of the centre (please see the section corresponding to the language you are interested in). Once solved, the test can be sent via e-mail at centrulariel.unibuc@gmail.com or it can be taken to the headquarters in 7-13 Pitar Moş Street.

The minimum number of students necessary to form a group is 10. In case there are less than 10 students who signed up for a group at the end of the sign-up period, it is possible for the sign-up period to be extended by one week or two, depending on the situation. If the number is not reached after the extended period, the taxes paid by the students who did sign up will be paid back to them.
